Something or somebody that appeals to or is characterized by self-indulgence or moral decay can be described as being ‘decadent’. The word is most commonly used in relation to rich food, or disapprovingly to refer to the corrupting extravagance of a person’s lifestyle, typified by putting pleasure ahead of personal responsibility or well-being.
